From 19 September to 5 October 2025, the German timber industry will once again make a strong statement for climate protection.

The fire performance of wood is a critical factor in construction projects. In response, regulatory requirements for wood products used as wall and ceiling coverings have been updated to ensure enhanced safety standards.

There are already clear guidelines for handling biocidal products within the EU. As part of the requirements of the Biocide Law Implementing Ordinance (ChemBiozidDV), which is valid only in Germany, we have adapted our KORA® wood protection program.

Until 29 September 2024, the German timber industry wants to send a strong signal and draw attention to the “Wood saves climate” initiative and its climate policy and economic significance with numerous initiatives throughout Germany.
