New product for the preventative protection of interior wooden components
This water-based protective agent was developed for use in use class 1 applications.
Koratect® IVOB is designed to prevent infestation by the house longhorn beetle (Hylotrupes bajulus). The formulation is based on colloidal silica and contains no biocidal active ingredients . Its protective effect is based on a physical mechanism: the treatment modifies the surface of the timber components so that house longhorn beetle larvae are unable to bore into them.
The effectiveness of Koratect® IVOB has been tested in accordance with DIN EN 46-1 and is confirmed by the test report from MPA Eberswalde (32/25/10855/01).
The product is ready to use, supplied in 25 kg containers, and is highly efficient with an application rate of only 100 g/m². Koratect® IVOB can be used following eradication measures such as hot air, microwave, or fumigation – for example, in roof trusses, timber-frame structures, or log cabins.
