Heinz Mengel, a timber artist from Wittgenstein, uses a variety of tools to create delicate and artistic objects. His work tools are primarily a number of motorised saws, chisels and cutting-grinders which he uses to form interesting objects of art from large blocks of solid wood.

In hours of work, he transforms domestic woods such as elm, ash, oak, larch or Douglas fir into impressive sculptures. These woods are his preferred materials.On their completion, the surface of the objects of art are treated with a top quality KORA preservative product to protect it against the sun and rain. This ensures that the artist’s work can remain outside for a long time without losing any of its beauty.
